Alessandro
Messina is an Italian economist and manager.
Expert on banking, sustainability and nonprofit, he
is Scientific Advisor and Lecturer on Nonprofit and Public Administration
at the Faculty of Economics, University of Rome Tor Vergata, research group on Government & Social Entrepreneurship.
He has been:
- Head of Bank-Firm Relationships and Special Projects at Federcasse, the Italian Federation of Co-operative Banks, which represents almost 400 local cooperative banks, leader in the credit market to small businesses, agriculture, cooperatives, nonprofits and social enterprises (2011-2015);
- in charge of the Credit
Department at ABI,
the Italian Banking
Association (2008-2011);

He holds a Bachelor degree in Economics, full marks with honours (110/110 cum laude), from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” (1994), and a Master and fellowship in “Economics of financial markets”, from the LUISS Management School in Rome (1995).
